Georgia to improve the quality of dairy products as giant dairy-products corporation Lactalis entered the country.
Lactalis has acquired shares of Georgian dairy product company Sante recently and this will give an opportunity to develop its local products to global markets.
Vice president of Lactalis group, Michelle Nalle met with Georgia’s PM and discussed further steps they will make in the near future. President hopes that Georgian Cheese will gain international standards and will export with Georgian commercial label.
Lactalis is a family-owned dairy group based in Laval, in the west of France.
The group now employs 55,000 people, and owns more than 200 industrial plants around the world, in 35 different countries.
