Matériel has become the first Georgian brand in the ready-to-wear category to appear on the Net-a-Porter online platform.
Fashion house is also the first Georgian brand that has contributed towards the development of the fashion industry in Georgia and has helped transform fashion from art into business.
Matériel successfully exports its products to 10 countries across the world. Since 2016, the volume of its exports grew by 450%, and the company cooperates with leading retailers on the global markets, such as:

- Browns Fashion
- Moda Operandi
- Lane Crawford
In 2018, the value of the products exported by Matériel to the international market was GEL 800,000, which is a record figure for a Georgian brand in the ready-to-wear category.
Matériel is in the process of developing 4 seasonal collections that will also be displayed in a partner firm’s Paris showroom during the fashion week, which forms part of the sales season.
The showroom forms a successful platform for Matériel to source new export markets. The agency Enterprise Georgia has actively supported Georgian brands’ involvement in showrooms for several seasons. Matériel is also being supported by EBRD and GIZ.
With regards to education and social responsibility, Matériel has been collaborating with the Academy of Arts for several years, offering graduates an opportunity to undergo practical training.
From January 2019, Matériel will collaborate with one of the world’s leading fashion schools Polimoda, offering graduates training, masterclasses and exchange programmes, which will significantly boost the development and progress of the fashion industry in Georgia.
