IberMeat meat products manufacturing company will launch mutton exports to Iran in a week.
The company technical director Irakli Adeishvili told the Commersant radio station that at this stage the company exports a small volume of meat to Kuwait, while exports to Iran will start next week.
The customer has ordered 500 tons of mutton, but exports volume will grow in the course of time, Adeishvili said.
As to domestic market, IberMeat slaughterhouse continues operation and serves one of the organizations. The company does not plan to restore Iberula meat markets network.
IberMeat company withdrew from the market in 2013 and returned in February 2016 after implementing a 0.5 million USD new investment project.
