HeidelbergCement supposedly will open modernized plant in Kaspi by 2018.
The company has submitted an environmental impact assessment (EIA) in order to start project of $ 100 million. The report will be discussed on January 17; in the meantime interested entities have opportunity to submit their comments.
The company plans to build technological line of dry production method of cement, which is expected to raise 2 years. The aim of modernization project is not only to reduce fuel consumption, but also to enable the plant to regulate emission in the future, reduce maintenance service costs and create the possibility of using alternative fuels.
The new furnace will be built with a production capacity of 3000 tons of clinker brick in a day. According to the company, they plan to make reconstruction of the existed buildings and develop new technological line. However, auxiliary facilities will be built as well.
According to EIA report, the peak number of employees amounts to 495 men in the technological line construction phase. To remind, Partnership Fund announced start of the project jointly with HeidelbergCement on May 18.
