Goodwill opens a new outlet in Batumi. The branch will be opened on October 15 and will be located on the area of 2 400 square meters.
As Goodwill Director Irina Kosashvili states to CBW, a similar object has not existed in Batumi before.
“It will be quite large and modern facility with commercial areas on the second floor”, Irina Kosashvili explains.
In her words, in the first stage only Goodwill hypermarket will start functioning but in the near future a bank, sports shop, ice-cream café and other facilities will be opened.
Irina Kosashvili notes that the decision to open another branch in Batumi was taken due to the user’s activity.
“The supermarket located in Batumi is so busy and in demand that physically can’t serve the user streams. The number of consumers is too high, compared to last year their amount increased by 10 percent. So we decided to open a large outlet, Goodwill Director says.
She adds that due to the lari depreciation, the supply price for the product increased by 5-10%, which is why the network was forced to hike prices slightly. Nevertheless, the number of the company’s customers has remained high and sales are growing.
Goodwill started operating on the Georgian market in 2004. The company at present owns 2 hypermarkets, 6 supermarkets, cafeterias and boulangeries.
