Giorgi Pertaia, director of Georgian National Investment Agency, has quitted position. I took this decision a month ago, Giorgi Pertaia told the Business Contract.
Giorgi Pertaia will continue his career in business sector. However, he has not specified the field. His assistant Tamuna Liluashvili will act as a director of Georgian National Investments Agency.
Giorgi Pertaia was appointed on the position in 2012. Before, he used to work as Business Ombudsman.
As reported, foreign direct investments are growing since 2012. FDI inflows in 2012 made up 912 USD, 2013 – 942 million USD, in 2014 – 1.758 million USD, 2015 – 1.564 million USD. As to January to June 2016, FDI inflows marked 834 million USD.
According to the law on Georgian National Investments Agency, the agency director is appointed and dismissed by Georgian Prime Minister.
