GINO Paradise company plans to launch electric taxi business in Tbilisi. The company director general Ramaz Bolkvadze told the Business Contract that electric taxis will appear in Tbilisi in spring 2017.
Initially, the company will convey 10 electric taxis, but the quantity will rise to 50 ones by 2018, he added.
The company has already addressed to Tbilisi City Hall for allocating 10-11 zones for parking electric cars in Tbilisi, where each parking place will hold 4-5 electric cars, Ramaz Bolkvadze noted.
The company representatives plan to sign agreement for imports of electric taxis in January 2017.
The company has not selected specific make of electric car yet, but three presumable variants are considered, Ramaz Bolkvadze said. At this stage, GINO Paradise abstains from unveiling investments volume.
