Georgian wine sales are growing in all export markets – Giorgi Samanishvili, Director of the National Wine Agency, told Commersant.
Samanishvili says that compared with the same period of last year sales have increased 45% in 4 months. According to him, traditional markets were suffering difficulties, namely inflation, atthe beginning of 2015. In Samanishvili’s words, the situation has not changed significantly today, however, has stabilized, exporters and partner companies have revised the terms that led to stableshipping. The head of the National Wine Agency refrains from making forecasts in terms of wine exports in the current year, however, expects that the growing trend will continue and this year will be better in terms of export volumes.
