Georgian Manganese explains the reason for export reduction in May.
According to the company’s special manager, the reduction of ferroalloys export is resulted by a 14-day suspension of the enterprise in May, which in turn has been caused by the failure of the previous management to pay consumed electricity cost, and the Electric Power System cut off electricity supply to the enterprise.
“The enterprise’s suspension has led to a production volume decrease to 11 179 tons, therefore export volume has been declined to 4 131, 87 tons,” the letter submitted to GBC says.
According to the Special Administration, the situation has already been improved and as a result of June 23, 17, 96,690 tons of silicon manganese is overloaded for export with traditional partners.
In 2017, the dynamics of overloading for export from LLC Georgian Manganese is as follows:
- January 14 003,023 tons;
- February 22 003,203 tons;
- March 20 859,530 tons;
- April 18 17,5,515 tons;
- May 4 131,870 tons;
- 23 days of June 17 943,690 tons;
Total: 97 114,831 tons.
