Dutch supermarket brand SPAR is expanding and opening another branch in the center of the Georgian capital. The object will be opened on the site of Ioli store in mid-September.
According to the company’s marketing manager Oto Shamugia, by the end of 2016, the company plans to replace Ioli and Foodmart all facilities by SPAR. To open 60 stores, the company will spend $ 7 million.
At the moment, SPAR is represented with 12 stores on the Georgian market. In the near future supermarkets will be opened in Batumi and Kutaisi. Shamugia notes that SPAR supermarkets are very popular among the population. SPAR appeared on the Georgian market this year.
