Construction of Civil Aircraft Parts Manufacturing Plant (ATC), joint project of Partnership Fund and Israeli-based company Elbit Cyclone, has moved in the active phase.
According to the Partnership Fund, detailed designing, preparation of specifications for equipments and negotiations with their suppliers are already completed. Land excavation process will be completed at the end of the week, after which construction works of the factory begin.
The construction process consists of three stages. According to the plan, construction of the building and its equipping will continue until the end of 2017, while certification process of the factory by Boeing should be completed in June, 2018.
Modern, high standard fixtures and fittings, selected by qualified experts of Elbit Cyclone, are already ordered. Specialists’ training is already begun, which includes training in a variety of aircraft composite parts. Training is held in Israel.
To remind, civil aircraft composite details will be manufactured in the plant, including the aerodynamic surfaces, doors, and control panel. It should be noted, that potential customers of the parts, manufactured in the factory, will be major players of aviation industry, such as: Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and others.
100% of the produced products will be export-oriented. The plant will begin manufacturing of products from 2018.
Construction of the enterprise will employ 100 people. Ultimately, project of 85 million USD will employ up to 200 local residents, including 80 persons will be trained and employed by the launch of the plant.
Construction of the plant is operated by JSC Aerostructure Technologies Cylone (ATC), founded jointly by Partnership Fund and Elbit Systems – Cyclone. The construction works are carried out by Georgian building company “Anagi” and its subcontractor company “I-C-E-S-E”.
