After Tbilisi, Air Arabia airline plans to perform flights from Batumi International Airport too.
Air Arabia will perform flights to Sharjah from Batumi, GASA, the airline’s general commercial agent in Georgia, noted. According to preliminary information, Air Arabia will perform Batumi-Sharjah flights three times a week, starting July 2.
Sharjah is the third biggest city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located on Arabian Peninsula, on the Persian Gulf coastline, a 16 km way from Dubai.
It should be noted the Air Arabia low-cost airline entered the Georgian market at the end of 2014. The airline owns a main airbase at Sharjah International Airport.
The airline’s subsidiaries are as follows: Air Arabia Egypt in Egypt, Air Arabia Maroco in Casablanca and Fly Yeti in Katmandu.
As of August 2012, Air Arabia’s fleet accounts for 26 airplanes of Airbus A320. In the near future, the airline plans to purchase additional 45 airplanes.
