In Poti, it is planned to fund 10 million USD for the construction of the textile factory.
The company “Adjara Textile” is about to open new plant in Poti. Initially, around 300 persons will be employed in the factory, however, it is foretasted to increase the number of employees till 3000 in the further future.
According to Osman Chalishkan, who is the Secretary General of International Investors Association (IIA), the company has already chosen the place to start construction process of the factory. At this stage the works on the project are underway.
The construction of the plant will start from the next month and can last until the end of the year 2016.
“Adjara Textile”, which already owns two textile factories in Batumi, plans to invest 10 million USD. The locally manufactured products will go on sale in the European market with the label of “Made in Georgia”, – Osman Chalishkan said.
According to him, the plant will be mainly focused on the creation of different brands of sports clothing.
