Loans should be Cancelled for Those Affected by Natural Disaster, Says NBG President

According to the President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), loans should be cancelled for the flood  victims, especially in cases when the solvency is  zero.

George Kadagidze says  that  the National Bank is involved in the process, the process of  inventory and lists verification entered  the final phase.

“Banks will make statements in the coming days, individual approach will be the most optimal. Loans will be cancelled   for the customers with virtually zero solvency, it’s  irrelevant to speak about interest and penalties especially for consumer loans. Banks social responsibility in this case is very important “, – Kadagidze adds.
