Deputy Minister of Economy Giorgi Cherkezishvili is a BGEO Group stakeholder.
Cherkezishvili bought shares of Georgia’s biggest banking-investment holding in 2013 and paid 9432 GBP for the stake. The deal turned out successful. As of April 30, 2018, the value of Chekezishvili’s stake has almost doubled and the value of the stake is 18 287 GBP.
As reported, currently, BGEO Group is splitting its business in banking and investment portoflios and the Deputy Economy Minister will have to choose in which direction to keep his stake.
Cherkezishvili’s investment portfolio also comprises stakes in two other companies – Caucasus Energy&Infrastructure (1116 shares) and Teliani Valley, a BGEO subsidiary (981 shares).
Giorgi Cherkezishvili was appointed as Deputy Economy Minister in March 2017. In the same period, he was appointed as TRASECA’s national secretary.
