After Georgia-Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Forum, the International Investors Association expects specific investment projects to be carried out in the current year.
The Association’s Secretary General states “Commersant” that within the Business Forum held in Batumi on March 6the main interest was expressed in the energy, agriculture and tourism sectors.
According to Osman Chalishkan, the Forum was attended by a representative of the Energy Ministry and the projects that are planned to be carried out will be considered at the autumn meeting.
In his words, Turkish companies are interested in construction HPPs as well.
The Secretary General at the International Investors Association notes that in the near future Turkish investments will be made in the textile field, the factories will be opened in Samtredia, Guria and Kutaisi and the products sewn there under Made in Georgia label will be sold in Europe.
Chalishkan does not specify the company and investment volumes.
