Koba Gvenetadze, the President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), has been appointed as an acting manager of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from Georgia.
Koba Gvenetadze has replaced Giorgi Kadagidze on the mentioned position.
The corresponding decision passed by the Government of Georgia on appointment of Koba Gvenetadze as an IMF acting manager from Georgia has been published on the official website of the government’s administration.
Currently he works as an economic adviser at Galt and Taggart, which established itself as Georgia’s leading investment banking and investment management Services Company.
Gvenetadze gained his Master’s degree in the United States and enjoyed an Edmund S Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program scholarship.
